About 21st Century Church of Christ

Led by Pastor and President John McCain, 21st Century Church of Christ is a dynamic, remnant church located in Elkridge, MD. Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMaschiac in Hebrew). Our mission is very simple: to lead people to honor and glorify Jesus Christ. We are a true messianic community of believers. That means we’re not about a building or some complicated religious system, but about helping people from all backgrounds discover the joy that comes from knowing and serving Jesus Christ. Look at the promise to the faithful church of Philadelphia:

“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:

These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9 I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillarin the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. 13 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (Ruach Hakodesh in Hebrew), we started our ministry and church in 2014. We believe we are the remnant church mentioned in the book of Revelation 3:7 as we obey God's commandments, bear the testimony of Yeshua (Jesus), kept His word and not denied His name. 

It all began when Pastor John had a vision of a church-- like no other--where biblical truth was untainted and taught to every disciple. The church has the mark of Yahweh on our foreheads. We believe Pastor John, our pastor and President of the church, is the messenger to whom Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, revealed His plans for a faithful, messianic community to form during the last days; hence, the name, 21st Century Church of Christ. Messianic Community is synonymous with the word ekklesia or church. 

The goal of this Web site is to give you the necessary and accurate education needed to continue or develop your relationship with the Heavenly Father.

Faith

We currently do not have a building devoted to worship; however, we remain faithful that Yahweh and Yeshua (Jesus) will provide the appointed place at the appointed time; therefore, we remain faithful to keep His command of preaching the gospel truth to all who will listen wherever we are in this world.

Family

At 21st Century Church of Christ, we value the family and we believe church should be a place for people of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities. Jesus Christ is literally the epitome of love; therefore we honor His command to love our neighbors as ourselves. We do not discriminate or judge those who are otherwise leading a christian lifestyle. We truly are a family.

Leadership

 As mentioned earlier, 21st Century Church of Christ is a living organism guided by Pastor John McCain. "Pastor John" provides overall direction and watches over the spiritual needs of the church. He provides sound, practical, biblical teaching at each worship service. During his 30 years of ministerial service, he has received theological and pastoral training and is equipped to share God's love with our local community.

21st Century Church of Christ is blessed to have him who is truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will.

We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We believe in giving back through our Agape Sock Ministry. We provide homeless men, women, children, and veterans with socks and toiletries to help them live their day-to-day lives.
